How do you score in the post?

First, the computer has zero trouble with this (in fact they score at ease there, but that's another thread). I started a dynasty with the Nets. I decided I'd like to see Lopez contend for the MVP. He's a great low post scorer with an array of moves. He just isn't as effective as I'd like him to be on the block. I know it's considered taboo to mention the other game, but there are a variety of post moves for the user to take advantage of. Here we have the pump fake, which is really ineffectual--on the rare chance the computer does bite, your player gathers so slowly for the shot it's likely to get blocked. The drop-step is slow, and doesn't get a lot of space, and the hop step is nonsense. I just played the Pacers, and Lopez got blocked multiple times on one possession. Yes, it's Hibbert, but both of these guys are true 7 footers.

I also have Pierce and Joe Johnson, who are very strong guards. Both have above average high and low post games. Both are underperforming. Is there a quick spin move (in the post) that I don't know about? The fadeaways just aren't getting it done.

Has anyone figured out anything?

Re: How do you score in the post?

i will say the post control is one area where 2k outshines live.

there is a spin move in live from the post: you have to rotate the right stick the way you want to spin. for me ive found that you have to rotate the stick the full 360° to get the spin to execute. doing only half the stick results in a shoulder fake. the up and under is a decent move too.

one thing to remember is that the cpu will adjust to what youre doing. so if you score with the spin move twice in a row or keep trying it they will stop falling for it. if you score from the post a few times in a row they will start to shut down the post altogether. its one of the most fun parts of the game when you have to find new ways to score.

How do you up and under? Does it involve pump-faking? That's how you do it on 2K. The NBA Live pumpfake is not good.

Back down in the post, then tap the shoot button, then hold it on the second time.

Backdown, tap, then tap/hold again for the up and under.

Stop giving away my secret(s). lol
There's some good stuff in the post if you can find it. That's about the only thing exotic I've found though. I see the CPU seems to have a few other tricks though that it doesn't want to share with me.
