suggestion for the OFFICIAL OS roster guys...

To prevent the official thread from blowing up and being crazy to the point of being locked,don't say the rosters are going to be ready if there are hours still left to go.

You get people waiting and refreshing and getting ansy,and then rude and bitchy.

They made it clear they were going to finish the last team then wait for the other people who worked on the roster to get home so they could double check their work...

Honestly, I want the most accurate roster possible. If it takes them until August, then yeah, so be it.
I'd rather have an accurate roster later than a rushed roster now.

They know what they're doing, and they should take all the time they need.

That's not the point... the point is if you are going to get so fired up when people ask, then don't say you are close. Idk honestly what else they expected to happen. I'm all for them taking their time, but you really need to think before you say things like that.

I understand how people can get frustrated, I have also been refreshing for the passed 3 hours. In saying that, on the OP it says done 7/15/13 NO SPECIFIC TIME SET. Gotta respect that. They said it'll be posted before midnight, they'll be posted before midnight.

I KNOW what they are doing,and if it takes longer so be it,my point is why say today is the day at 10am......then have people wait and get stupid on the forum when there is no need?

Just announce "Here they are!" when they are actually complete.

I don't understand what the complaint is from people. You are getting dozens of hours of work for doing nothing but sitting on your *** in anticipation.

Alternatively, I don't even understand why the roster makers put a progress/conversation thread up at all. Every year it is shut down due to idiots acting a fool. And yet every year, a new thread is made with the hopes that people aren't going to go crazy?

Bottom line, IMO, people should keep quiet until the rosters come out. No amount of asking for projected finish times, or begging to know what point they are it is going to help you. Additionally, if the mods are going to be so strict on the off-topic content of the threads, and shut it down every single year, why even allow it to begin with?
