Re: J-KITS NCAA FB SLIDERS: OS Official

Yeah fatigue off is definitely better CPU play when my team is stacked.

I moved on to Boise State and have a 70 overall QB so now I think fatigue on and off (I usually do it periodically during most kickoffs now) helps a bit but my team isn't gonna stomp anyway.

Against FCS their QB was pretty accurate and I only won 42-30 but if I build them again I may decide to do fatigue off. Also had to move QB Acc to 10 again because I couldn't deal with so many throws being off target. I still completed like 53% only with it moved UP.

Off topic question, what's your recruiting house rules? I think I'm going with:
1. Recruit people who are interested
2. Uninterested recruits must be from in state, bordering states or pipeline.
3. Keep the star level near your team's prestige, but usually I'm outclassed anyway so it's not a big deal so far.

That's my main ones I think are good enough to prevent getting unrecruited players but I can still scout and add and drop guys freely.

J-Kitz's recruiting rules are in the OP, I've mostly been using his mixed with a bit of pocketscout's (which was where he got inspiration from). I used to do full pocketscout but I use these now...I personally find it more fun with more guys on the board because point allocation becomes more difficult.

They're a bit looser than pocketscout but with the CFBR dynasty tool, player progression is less linear and it feels like roster talent is more based on your school's prestige/accomplishments than the base game so it balances out. My ultimate philosophy is to go for as much realism and difficulty as you want but if it isn't fun, don't be afraid to change it (whether that's making it harder or easier).unknown.jpeg

Re: J-KITS NCAA FB SLIDERS: OS Official

Since moving to Boise had some great close games, 3 point wins where I got to kill the clock to a knee each time. Very back and forth, have to really work on D to slow some teams.

Had a solid recruiting class, high 70s QB, WR, TE, two DEs, an OLB and a CB. Everyone else was basically in the 60s so I think my recruiting limits work since these all were interested or pipeline guys who I basically had the highest points for so I didn't just hunt for guys the CPU ignored.

This year I have no over 70 overall guys interested in me so far except for some JUCOs so I'll see how this pans out. I think my rules are decent so far so each year (as a Nick Saban level coach) so getting some high level guys seems fair.

Good game again vs Pitt. Won 29-27 after stopping their 2 point conversion with 15 seconds left. Disappointed in the CPU Pitt offense by being 2 TE run heavy while having a 99 THP QB. Was up most of the game but they clawed back until I got the last stop. If they were more aggressive the entire game I would probably have lost.

J-Kit - what made you change the OPI/DPI? With 98/99 vs 99/98 in the original set?

For one, both are set high b/c they'll both fight for the ball in the air almost equally. Interestingly enough, a 99OPI vs a 98DPI seemed to make the offensive AI receiver edge out the defender by coming back to the ball on curl routes, and diving or reaching for the majority of the time.

Re: J-KITS NCAA FB SLIDERS: OS Official

Happy CFB everyone! 😁🎉🏈

For the longest I've used Matt 10 sliders, but I think it's time to turn over a new leaf. I'm excited to try J-Kits slider set and all I keep hearing is how realistic it is. I'm going all in when it comes to recruiting rules, etc. I love realistic numbers and outcomes. Even if I take a loss. That's apart of what makes the game great. If you have any tips let me know.

I've played at 8 and 9 before. I've played at slow and normal before. 9 and normal seems to play out better, but not sure.
