Get lagged out even before kick starts and get a 0-0 loss I just don't understand

I've had that happen twice so far. The first time was in the season 8 championship. I got the loss both times. I was so disappointed.

First game I played lagged out and I lost 7-7. Been mostly playing solo challenges since then. Plus, was getting matched up against 95+ teams with my 80 team at the time, which wasn't fun at all.
