The reason they put out more SEC cards is because the Southeast comprises almost 75% of the players.

As far as support for this game since the Madden release, this is what they do every year. Players drop 50% and all those part-time employees they hired are let go. NCAA Football is not a full-time game for EA Sports with the exception of the main guys we all know.
