Simple Fix to Progression...
Ok if you look at top recruits now a days, they are looked at to make instant impacts as freshman (Julio Jones from day 1 was alabama's top WR). So the problem is in NCAA 11 let's say you are weak at wide receiver and have well lets say 84, 83, 81, and 81 ovr as your top wide receivers and you land a recruit like a Julio Jones, THEN HE WOULD BE YOUR TOP WIDE OUT THE NEXT SEASON,
but in NCAA 11 those receivers would progress ahead of jones because he would be widley underrated as a freshman, probably somewhere around a 80-82 and would see little if any playin time
the solution is to make recruits rated really high (close to as high as they will ever be), and almost eliminate progression, so when jones comes in as a freshman he would be rated like a 92, and then slowly progress instead of like 5 points a year
make progression manual with like drills and stuff like that, so you can choose who to make better because someone like marquis maze at bama will most likley not get much better but he is a steady 88-90 ovr receiver. but in NCAA he sky rockets to the mid 90's which is not realistic
in my opinion a number 1 rated recruit who is a rb should be rated slightly lower than a number 1 rated recruit who plays wr, just because it's harder to be dominant at that position
there does need to be recruits who are labeled RAW which means they will progress easier than one who is not, so if you recruit a 4 star RAW player he could be as good as the 5 stars eventually (if you train him) but not immediatly and will most likley not see immediate playing time
