i think the kicker is that Desmond is famous for "the pose", which i would imagine will be what they use for the cover. it's a famous moment in college football history and encompasses the heisman theme.

lots of great players could have been chosen, i think EA wanted to go with the heisman theme as much as possible.

Wonder how many HS students remember seeing "the pose" or Desmond Howard even playing in the NFL? I think the Heisman Trophy would have been a good cover to use.

That's fine. The reason I thought it was strange is because of their history of using players one-year removed from their collegiate career...they must be pretty excited about this race-for-the-heisman feature to do something like this.

yup, this is totally about laying heavy promotion of the new heisman mode. i think if it flops, it will be gone in next year's version.

as for teenagers not being familiar with "the pose", etc, this is true but i doubt anyone buys the game based on who's on the cover.
