screwing up things that used to be right?

I just don't understand how they could get things like the short/intermediate passing game ok in the game 2 years ago, and somehow screw it up years later?? Same with DB AI. 2004 wasn't perfect, and yes 06 has some big upgrades like graphics and running, but why always the steps back? It just seems that they fix some problems every year, but then create brand new ones - I just don't get it. Could there be a reason for doing this? I am wondering.

Also, on an unrelated note - can anyone tell me why they can't include features like a simple run play flip (ie hitting the playmaker stick in madden)? Jr. Varsity football teams are able, with a simple bloody hand signal, to adjust a play to go left instead of right at the line of scrimmage, so why wouldn't teams in this game be able to? Its not a huge deal, but it would be a hell of a lot more useful than the composure thing.

Actually, you CAN flip running play directions by hitting the audible button, Triangle (On the Xbox), then left or right on the D-Pad.

you can flip the whole play along with your formation by pressing (xbox) x then black button. just to flip the direction of the run w/o moving anyone around is y then left or right on the right analog stick depending on the direction you want to run. it's essentially a hot route run.

.

I've always said it's to make more money. I mean there are still some things that were in EA's Genesis games that STILL have not made it in the games now. They take stuff out and screw up other stuff in order to fix it next year and make ppl rebuy it again.

No doubt.

EA doesn't want to create a perfect game, else they remove any need for people to buy future releases.

I actually buy in to that theory. I think there is some truth to that.

But I still think people would buy new copies for the updated rosters.

I would too. But as it is now, many more people are guarenteed to buy a new copy for the "improved" version.
