For Michigan State:

"Here we are on the campus of Michigan State in East Lansing Michigan"

"On the Banks of the Red Cedar River here at Michigan State University"

are both gone I believe.

EA has the NCAA license, NCAA does not want flash in the game EA yanked it. It had nothing to do with hardware or space on a disc.

So they let them have them in last year just to tease the consumers? It makes no sense for the ncaa to allow it one year and then not want it in the next, especially when it's something that's a part of the tradition of college football.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Why would NCAA not want "flash" in the game?

Christ they are one of the most self-promoting shameless Collegiate Athletics groups in the country next to basketball. Basically you field a team ... you go to a bowl game. That seems like more flash to me than Lee Corso saying, "Here were are along the banks of the red cedar river."

Now the Notre Dame thing I can understand. They have licensing agreements for everything. So if they were like we didn't like the way you had our locker room look so generic we want it out of there...then I get that.

NCAA looked at the game a little closer this year, what can they say? They missed it last year and they thought they got a good one when they had the field goal being torn down out of the game last year.

Having a field goal post get ripped down is completely different than having team specific intros. There's nothing bad that can come from an intro.

If they didn't want it in the game, why would they tolerate it in REAL life? And the FG posts getting torn down is out of there hands in REAL life, but in the game world, they rule, so they took it out.
