NCAA 07 XBOX 360 screens

When will we learn our lessons? I know everone is hyped about the new season coming up. A new game & what could be, but the fact is EA makes average football games. They dont have to go all out because die hard fans will have no other options. They will give us just enough to peak our interest. We will more than likely break down & buy the game & complain about 3 or 4 of the same issues the previous games had. But hey? Thats what a monopoly is all about. Taking away comp & but minimizing what you spend but taking in more profit. I'll keep my eyes open & hope for the best but I refuse to get exicted anymore....By the way the screens suck...The Stadiums are better though

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but if I want super realistic football...I'll go out and play some touch football or something. I play NCAA because I want to play with my favorite teams and dynasties. As long as Nebraska is in there, I'll be happy. I guess I'm not a hardcore gamer and flip out over 4 screen shots.

LOL, that's crazy that you wouldn't buy a video game of football because a certain type of tackling wasn't in the game.

EA is not really a monopoly in the true sense of the word. A monopoly is not possible when another company picks a company to pay them money to exclusively endorse or sell their product, as in the case of the NFL picking EA to do so.

It's like saying that the Geico gecko has a monopoly on endorsing Geico insurance and you're infuriated that Geico has this stupid Gecko endorsing a product you love. If you don't like the gecko then don't buy Geico insurance. Same as with Madden & the NFL, if you don't like it then don't buy it.

And besides that, even when EA had competition that was strong, like ESPN, I never saw much difference in their product. And on the flip side last year without competition more advances in their products than usual. So to argue that eliminating competition makes EA lazier and do less really doesn't hold water and cannot be proved.

The fact is EA has always done about the same every year regardless of outside competition, if you don't like how much they improve year to year, that's fine, but don't attribute the EA/NFL move to some sort of harbringer to EA now giving us so much less than before it because it's not true and never was.

Not to say it was intentional but in a since the way it stands it is a monopoly. That being we have no other choices, I wasnt trying to define the word (monopoly) just the situation.

This is the only game I will purchase without second thought. I haven't FULLY purchased Madden in two years... either borrowed from a friend or rented.

Oh well. Still excited.

I have purchased 3 madden games in the past 2 years only to take them back in less then a week.

Ncaa 06' to me even with its flaws was the best football game ever. Please don't say 04' was the best cause the game was extremely flawed.

I don't understand how that's crazy; gang tackling is a very important aspect of football. As others have spoken to the issue far better than I could (LBZ in particular), you can be effective in these games playing Dime or Quarters extensively. You lose a big chunk of the strategic element of the game when you're playing more to the game's quirks, than having to use actual football strategy. My 190-200lb db should not be able to bring down a RB like Larry Johnson or Jamal Lewis consistently by himself. Seeing a LB or DL bounce off a RB or WR because he's already engaged in a tackle animation isn't very realistic, and looks ridiculous
