It's not worthless as those sorts of ratings are meant for when the CPU is controlling the RB. When you're the ball carrier of course those ratings are meaningless. Same as for QB and WR's when you control them yourself.

I guess ball carrier vision doesnt play into user controlled players, but its good for the AI I guess. Although, how do you program the difference btwn a 95 carrier vision and a 65? Make the 65 run right into defenders?

Don't forget there are now 10 BCS teams and there are specifications in the new BCS contract to ensure that one of those is pretty much guaranteed to be a mid-major. If I'm not mistaken, since they had the championship game last year, the Rose Bowl gets the last pick for teams this year (not automatically the PAC10 and BIG Ten champs), which means by the time they pick the traditional Big Ten and PAC-10 champs might not be available. It stands to reason that the mid-major will almost always be picked by the Bowl that gets to picks its teams last.

A similar thing happened after the 2002 season (2003 Bowls). The Rose Bowl had been the championship game at the end of 2001 so they had to pick last and could not land traditional teams because Ohio State was in the Title game and Iowa was in the Orange Bowl. So they had to settle for OU. They also had to pick Texas at the end of 2004 because all slots were automatic bids and USC was the only PAC 10 team and were in the title game.

Of course, it may just be that things aren't tightened up but the BCS definitely makes for some non-traditional Rose Bowl matchups.

Big Ten: OHST
Big XII: OU
PAC10: USC
SEC: LSU
Big East: Pitt
ACC: Miami

At large (one of which now has to be a mid-major): NIU, Mizzou, FSU, Iowa

Hopefully this is an attribute that will enable the CPU to run the ball effectively.
