40 time = what speed?

So, at what setting or level in the game is the true speed level accurate? Seems like several years ago I recall hearing it was on varsity, but I could be wrong.

You do realize that the fastest 40 this year in the Nfl combine was 4.3+ by Vernon Davis which deserves 96ish speed and Bush only runs about a 4.3 and definately deserves 99 speed...

Yeah that is true, but this game has some olympic-like 40 times. As far as created recruits go, these speed ratings should coincide with their 40 times.

It's tough to compare 40 times, because the track that it is run on can make a huge difference. A player could run a 4.6 on one track and then a 4.4 on another. The ratings in the game seem to be based on a very fast track.

I've been using shuttle times as a reference of comparison, but the game doesn't show those for recruits so I don't know what kind of formula to use.

And this Year was a slow year in the 40. Last Year the Oakland CB with the reall weird last name was clocked at 4.21
