There is at least one face mask animation on the 360. I saw it and a penalty was called....for holding at the line of scrimmage. But the animation is there, it just doesn't happen often and wasn't called the one time that i saw it.

Another one that is almost never called - Holding. I have it set to 100 and I still get at most 2 or 3 per game.

EDIT: One thing I do really like though - you can actually use cadence changes to draw the computer offsides! Finally a computer game that lets you do this!

No facemasks here as well, but I have seen roughing the passer.

I've never seen intentional grounding or roughing the passer.

I have kept all the penalty sliders set at default, and the only ones I've seen are roughing the passer, excessive celebration and roughing/running into the kicker. No facemasks and I don't even know that I've had a holding penalty yet.

It doesn't really bother me though. I'm not a huge sim-head and it just slows down the game.

you must be talking about ps2/xbox cause on 360 you cant celebrate and get penalized. at least i dont think
