New Patch on XBL for 360

I'd love to know what this patch did because maybe then it could explain why my Madden game shut down, by itself, in the middle of the 2nd quarter, 10 minutes after I downloaded the NCAA patch. I'm playing fine, haven't had any disc related problems with any games I've owned, I download the patch, ten minutes later my console abruptly shuts down, I get the red lights. I turn off the console, turn it back on and it works. I'm not a fan of EA as it is for their horrific servers and this is just the icing on the cake. I hope this was only a one time deal and isn't a widespread problem, but I can't help but think its the patch I just downloaded without knowing what it was that caused this shutdown crash.

Mine did the same thing. I was starting a game online and it froze up. I started another game online, it froze up again. Then, I started a dynasty game, same thing. I get three red lights. I called XBox support and they had me disconnect everything, (which I already tried) and start it up again. It froze again and it won't turn on now. All I get are three red lights! And I have had it since launch and had no problems at all with any games.

Which game were you playing? I was playing madden.

well it doesnt make the names appear online...i just played a game and no names at all...booo!!

I think the patch got rid of the cheesers. I just played a sim random game online!

I am on my third 360- In your situation you'll need a new one.

You guys are freakin' me out. I will not go online with NCAA until I find out if this is causing the 360 to crash. I'm on my second one right now and don't want that ish to happen again.
