So I've had the 360 version of this game since day 1 but have not played it much recently, because I know the 360 version is "stripped" down I went out and bought the PS2 version of the game because I figured with all the features the game had it would spark my interest in it again. Damn this game is ugly.....360 has me spoiled. The new playbooks and features are nice (the ugly girl that is really nice) but I dont think I can play it because it's hard to look at (the girl is too ugly to date and take in public). Next gen has me spoiled.

I actually think the 360 is more like the hot girl with the ugly face and zits all over her body. Only parts of it are nice. The frame rate issues for the stadium, the low frame rate period especially in certain stadiums, the ugly lighting with shadows all over the field (even at 12:30 in the afternoon), the terrible Wolverine helmuts, the awkward player models and running animations all take away from the overall look imo. The closeups are beautiful but the actual gameplay camera is zoomed out far enough that you can't even really see the beauty of the extra visuals while playing. The 360 disappointed me in a lot of ways and part of that was visual. I expected better from next gen.

The PS2 version still looks nice and is smoother imo. The PS2 has jaggies all over the place and is awful looking when compared to the 360 if you are running standard cables or even S-Video cables. However, if you have component PS2 cables, it looks a lot better on a nice TV and I'll take the gameplay over the 360 version anyday. Maybe I've lost interest in great graphics but the 360's disappointed me and like I said, the actual zoomed out gameplay camera isn't as big a difference as some people make it out to be.

I thought the full speed run looked odd. Maybe its just me on that one but their upper bodies didn't seem to be moving quite right with their legs.

I know I'm being picky with some of the 360 graphics but I wasn't wowed by the game. I was wowed by the PS1 when it came out and was wowed when the PS2 came out. This generation doesn't wow me. I expect more for the amount of money you have to plunk down for that system or especially the PS3.

i agree that the running animations on 360 need work. but as a whole i like the gameplay on 360 more than on the xbox. with that being said i was very dissapointed with the lack of features on 360. no player edit, one camera view etc. i mean i realize that its the first installment on the 360 but those little things add up and take away the enjoyment for me.
