The 4-2-5

Am I the only one who gets shutdown by the 4-2-5 and 3-3-5 online?

I can't seem to do anything when people use these sets and stack people in the box.

What is the key to doing anything on this offense? It seems like the corners get super powers, especially when they are near the offensive line.

Re: The 4-2-5

Ok, well your problem is that those schemes are mainly blitzing defenses, so in order to offset the blitzs I would recommend to do a lot of draw plays (because with a delay handoff everybody is biting on the QB when you quickly hand it off to the RB and all you have to beat is 2 guys) also do a lot of quick short passes across the middle and utilize your TE. Get back at me and tell me if my advice works

I find the 3-3-5 to be really annoying to get outside of. I did tear apart one of my friends with Florida's offense though.

Same here man, I can't find anyway to beat it. Maybe I just suck. The corners are all of a sudden amazing, the LB they are blitzing makes an unbelievable pick, or I just get sacked. The only thing that worked a little was a WR screen.

I love seeing people who use these defenses because what they usually do is blitz with the corners, so what I do is line up 3 or 4 wide and take 3 steps and fire the ball to the WR. 9 times out of 10, it is at least a 5 yard completion.

Re: The 4-2-5

I remember when I would play on PS2 against teams that used these defenses, I would struggle. For some reason, it was just a funky little defense that I couldnt figure out. I would have to completely abandon my run game and sit in shotgun all day because that was only way I could move the ball.

I just run straight up I-formation blasts and dives. Attack those B gaps.
