any word yet as to whether or not franchise (dynasty) mode will be online compatible? It would be great if friends could all play in the same damn dynasty. Can't believe this is still on the wish list.

If its something that would cause more people to buy it and result in more profit then it would be in the game. I don't think that feature would increase the sales, at least to justify the cost of implementing it. That's just the reality of every sports game. EA does love to trumpet a new feature but that's not likely it.

Yeah, that's true, EA really needs to get season mode into online play.

The only time I play a user is when we are scheduled to play each other in dynasty mode.

Even then, while I might take part, I would still need the CPU because more often than not I don't plan when I'm going to play my games. I just have an hour or two and decide I feel like playing a game or two in my dynasty. This would not fit well with multiuser online dynasty mode since, much like leagues, there is a "schedule your game with your next opponent" aspect that you cannot get around.

I have no interest whatsoever in playing single exhibition games online, whether they be ranked or not, just because it's not time for my next dynasty game yet.

IMO, online is where innovation will come in the the next few years, but it shouldn't come at the expense of a good franchise/dynasty/legacy mode and a competent CPU AI opponent.
