this is a funny thread. They put him on it because it highlights some of their new features they went with this year. Who gives a damn if he ever signs with the NFL, as he'll probably never be anything more than a 4th string NFL Europe QB anyways.

It also doesn't matter if anyone knew who he was before the oklahoma bowl game, but anyone interested in NCAA football saw the highlights from the game. And honestly, if a person isn't entirely up with college football, why the **** are they buying a NCAA football game? It's not like they'll be able to identify individual players anyways.

The person they put on the cover of an NCAA game is irrelevant. The game sells itself. However, judging by the increasing amount of gators apparel I see band wagoners wear, they could have considered throwing a gators logo on it to sell countless more.

He was a good college quarterback who lead his team to an amazing record with him as the starter. That being said, the casual fan, if they knew who he was, only remember him for his game against Georgia. That would be like remembering Peyton Manning for his 0-4 record vs. Florida.

EA cashed in on the Boise State underdog we love you story. The Boise State game was all over the news that even most casual people will recognize Jared Zabransky and if not the Boise State jersey.

Smart for their budget, I guess.
