I personally can't fully "get into" a Madden franchise. I try every year, but i just never get hooked (plus the seasons can stretch on and on). With NCAA I'll play 4 seasons in my Dynasty at least, if not more. The atmosphere just sucks me in, I end up caring about my team a lot more, it's somewhat hard to explain.

1. Recruiting is alot deeper then NFL draft is

2. Not Every state has a NFL team, but most states have a college team

3. If you lose 1 game you aren't going to win the championship where as in NFL you can loose 6 games and still make it into the playoffs.

4. The challange of turing a small school into a powerhouse

5. In madden you could be stuck playing with the same players every year. But in ncaa you get a new starting lineup about every 2 years.

6. You can run the option on NCAA

7. Winning the heisman trophey is better then winning the MVP

8. There is alot more tradition and rivals in NCAA then madden. Which comes up when you are playing agianst a friend that cheers for a diffrent team.

What makes any game great? It's what you're in to. I love college football and love playing the NCAA Football game. Having control over the OU football team, although imaginary, is worth it for me. Look forward to this game every year and will for quite some time. If you don't like it and you aren't impressed with it, don't get the damn thing.

i love it because i have soooo much passion for college football. Its pretty much the only sport I follow, other than NFL.

One of the things that I wanted to know is why when this game has the same problems that Madden does, it doesn't get killed over them.

I haven't run a legit dynasty since '04, to be honest. I finished a year in '05 before realizing it had serious problems. '06 I was too busy with college to get into it much though it was a decent game, and '07 my PS2 and 360 both broke on me and even now I can't get into it.

I may hold off on getting this game, something I never imagined. I always considered it my favorite game by far and the hype for me is always huge. May just wait this year though since 2k8 is coming out at the same time.
