My main gripe is with the CPU doing this. It happends with human HB/FB's but not at frequently, especially once you see it a few times and learn from the mistake. But it happends at least a few times every game with the CPU, often turning easy 4-6 yard gains into 3 yard losses.

Some variation of the CPU stepping out of bounds with clear real estate out front has been there since at least when NCAA hit PS1. It must be grandfathered into every generation...
