Do you think EA will put acceleration back in the game next year?

It's so annoying that they took it out. Guys are at top speed after their first step. That's why 70% of INTs get housed and WRs never get caught from behind. It's also why if a DE is chasing a RB, he'll take a steep angle and chase him for 15 yards even though he's only 1 foot away from him (at that point, I Just take control of the player and dive)

How do you guys feel about this

Never really thought of it, but you make a great point. Just another thing they can add to their 2009 "list to fix". This game is a ****ing joke this year.

Just last night I was trying to sim the Sugar Bowl as Hawaii. UGA led 14-7 at the half. Stafford was 12 for 19 with 2 TDs and 4 INTs. One of those INTs was "housed".

Good points. I agree.

Another reason so many picks get returned for TD's is that the DB's all end up in such good position when making a pick...on their feet facing the endzone. In real life, there are more diving, sliding, stumbling ints, or situations where the DB gets twisted around or tied up with the receiver. These things don't happen in '08.

As much as I have enjoyed the series over the years, the last 2 versions have been alot more work and frustration than they have been fun. I am going to be very reluctant to buy '09 unless some series strides are made.

That's a side effect of the "broken" way in which DB's break on the ball.

Tone that down and you tone down alot of the picks being returned for 6.

God I hope so, its done absolutley perfect in All Pro where the clock accelerates even after 2 mins (unlike current gen Madden). If you don't run the hurry up you lose precious seconds just like a real offense.
