I have XBOX Live, but my rosters and dynasty are on my off-line account. Is there any way I could get the new patch onto this account, or will I have to switch to playing on my Live account exclusively?

Just install it on your LIVE account. I think it'll carry over to all accounts.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure it works. I installed the patch originally under one of my XBL accounts and then rebooted from my second XBL account and on the second time it didn't ask me to install a patch.

It should work for any users of the machine. Patches are not tied to user accounts but to the IP.
