Its not that hard, but we don't know whether or not refs will be on the field or the atmosphere has been improved or not for '09.

I will not play any football game without a fully functioning referee crew involved in moving the chains and spotting the ball. Hence, I still play NCAA 06 and NCAA 08 for Xbox1. Hopefully NCAA 09 for the Wii will have a full referee crew since it is hopefully based off the old-gen engine. All-Pro 2K8 had referees, but they were implemented lazily. They did not grab the ball and spot the ball during hurry up offense. The ball just automatically warped the ball to the new yard line as hurry up offense was initiated.

Programmers are running out of time trying to pump out yearly games on next-gen systems like the 360 and PS3. They are seeing the dollar signs and will probably make fun of testers suggesting things like fully functional referees. The programmers are simply seeing the dollar signs and they just want to get the game out fast with the least amount of overtime work. This, so they can rob gamers of their hard earned money with bug-ridden games that require patches. Console games are not what they once were. The Wii is the only next-gen console that I feel comfortable with. I feel like it is at least well made. I feel like 360s and PS3s are about to blow up. Programmers aren't even coming close to uncovering the full potential of these systems. Until devs commit to that hardware, I will stay with my PS2, my XBox1 and my Wii...

One day there will be a standard for things like referees in football games. For now, us true sports gamers must pick and choose our sports titles and make the devs work hard for our support...
