Yea EA has got to get rid of the quarterback throwing accurate off the back foot falling backwards. I was playing Madden last night and every time the QB was under pressure he'd throw a strike falling back off his back foot or he'd get sacked.

Wouldn't it be sweet to see a wobbly pass thrown up there, way off target, when the qb is runinng backwards....just like if you tried to throw a pass while back peddling? At the very least, have the defense all over the recievers if you run around like that (taking more than 3-4 seconds to pass)...once again, just like in real life.

It woud solve so many issues and virtualy cut out the online/multiplayer cheese over night.

Seems like such an easy fix.

All EA would have to do is after a 15 or whatever drop back the QB accuracy rating drops to 0 as well as RB and WR catching ability to 0.
Or like previously mention have the QB slip and go down.
I honestly don't think EA could break it down into "Off back foot, then do this" details.

Another solution is to remove WR icons after a certain distance.

Anyways that's why I don't play randoms and only play with sim players.

Let me add (I "could" be wrong about this) that I don't really think EA wants to get rid of it. Think about thier core people they market. It's not the simmers, that for sure.

I like the "remove the icons" idea. However, I think you are right in that EA does not want this removed from the game because 90% of people playing the game would not be pleased.

EA flat out said last year that they haven't come up with a good idea to remedy this. Too many casual gamers like this style of play and they would be killing the golden goose. The bottom line rules in this situation.

Personally, I don't think you need to punish the QBs ratings that much to fix this. If he actually sets up 20 yards behing the LOS then why should his arm strength or accuracy be diminshed? The real problem is that the DEs coming up the field should kill him before he gets that far. That's where the TECMO style blocking of the OT and DE is a problem. The DE should be able to rub past the OT and smoke the QB. Unfortunately, EAs blocking engine doesn't work that way so we have to resort to thinking of artificial ways to correct this.

If anything, the DBs should be able to make a play on the freaking ball if he's that far back. Don't just sit there behind a WR and watch him catch it. I'd rather see the DB awareness get bumped up 10 to 20% if the QB drops back too deep to help fix it.
