S or MLB. On occassion, I'll go with a DL. I like playing in the secondary, but it has been tough on next-gen NCAA.

I want to play CB sooooo bad and try and lock down their best guy but the damn camera angles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FS 95% of the time for me until they give us camera options.

I agree with others who have said the next gen animations are "too long".

I might try being a DL this year to limit the amount of user INTs I get.

I'm at LB unless the pass game is getting me pretty good, then I will be the on the D-line to try and shorten the QB's time with the ball

I play DE mostly now, I got tired of the interceptions. Whenever I would play with a friend we would work in units, so for example one might be the SS and the other the FS or one might be the ROLB and the other the LOLB. It worked pretty good then because you could adjust to the play and knew the other guy could also adjust and not just rely on the computer to make some dumb mistake.

It depends, usually I control a Defensive End. If I want to blitz I'll control a LB or DB.

That's what I do when I play, too. From time to time I might have a mismatch as an DE, so my priority is to try to swim/shove past the line... if that doesn't work then I play as a MLB only if I call for a blitz from there.

IMO the best way to get a sim is to play the DT. Let all the other positions play out to their abilities. If you use the MLB or the DB's you are basically giving them an awareness of 100.

Re: So who do you control the most on Defense in NCAA?

I'm usually the MLB or WLB. I try to avoid the strong side LB as I usually suck at the point of attack. I don't like playing with the DL much although on third and long I do like to take a DE occasionally and rush the passer. It was a lot better on the PS2 version though - same for playing safety. Last year I found it very difficult to defend the pass on the PS3 version due to the lack of player momentum and gave up on playing safety. Hopefully the DL controls will be better this year along with manually defending the pass. I NEVER play with a CB.
