Reserving your game @ Hollywood video or Walmart.....

Has any1 ever reserved their game or any game at any of these places? And if so how are they on release dates? I asked because I reserved mine at EB Games. Now the closest EB Games is about an 1hr & 15 minutes from my house, but I have a Hollywood video & a super Walmart 20 minutes from my house. I never even knew Hollywood did reserves. Anyway just wanted to how good r they with reserves or should I just keep my reserve at EB Games?

i can't say it's the same for all wal-marts, but EA Sports games are about the only games they actually get and put on the shelves on release day. lol

luckily for me i can't go a mile without seeing a wal-mart it seems. plus i have a gamestop less than 5 miles away.

Agree about Walmart. In the times that NCAA isn't a midnight release here at EBgames (Which is all the time) I go to Walmart and they have the games behind the counter waiting to sell at midnight. Last year there was a line but they had plenty and I walked out at 12:15 ish with the game.

yes wal-mart will have several copies of games that "should" sell. i picked up GTA IV there and they had about 200 copies each for 360/PS3.

Luckily here in Toronto, there isn't a huge fan base for NCAA so I can probably just walk in to a store on release day. But that wasn't always the case...

For those who don't know, for a breif period of time, the NCAA prohibited sales of NCAA merch outside the US. Thus, I had to pay $90 for a copy of NCAA 2004 for the XBOX at a store literally located underground. NCAA 99 on the PC wasn't at all available, (had to buy it online).

There really is no reason to reserve games anymore... I walked into Best But at 8pm the day Halo 3 came out and they still had 50 more copies.

If that is the case, you may want to try a mom & pop store. I find they aren't really worried about release dates.
