Well it's two extremes to me...I played with VT last year and they had a very good front four and a great linebacking core. I remember I had Chris Ellis win the Outland Trophy (I don't think the Hendricks award is in the game) as DLineman of the year. He was like tops in sacks. But the CPU still picked me apart back in the pocket. It was more of a lack of consistent pressure. The CPU QB either got sacked or completed the pass, I rarely had him forcing throws or throwing off balance or while getting hit.

Last year what people seized on were the excessive turnovers and CPU QB logic and those turned out to be legit problems.

Here's what Rhombic wrote about the pass rush after the community day:

Yes. One time cdj took WVU with Pat White and purposely tried to see how long he could go scrambling around before he would get sacked. After 2 plays, over a minute of game-time had elapsed. Even with a regular QB, a lot of times the DEs get pancaked or knocked off their feet, and you can easily roll to the side and buy extra time. From the shotgun, I would say that the average amount of time, even if you just stayed perfectly still in the pocket, was about 7 or 8 seconds against non-blitzing plays.

I'm sorry, but that sounds like a real problem to me.

I'm glad that some EA devs are beginning to communicate with us and one of the things we need to do is make sure they understand our concerns rather than sugarcoating things by saying "the pass rush has always sucked, so what's the big deal?"

If the rush from the D-line is so bad that you can sit in the pocket for 7-8 seconds or scramble around for a minute, then that IS a big deal. If this is really the case then we need to let the EA reps know this is unacceptable and needs to be patched ASAP after the release.

Haha, just kidding CB. I needed to bask in the glory of getting defended by an EA rep.

Does that mean countryboy wins 98% of the OS vote vs. OMT's 2%? LOL!! Sorry, couldn't resist.
