The EA guys seem to be "dodging" ratings questions.

I dont know but when was the last time a player been grossly underrated where people thought he should have been a 90 but was rated somewhere in the 70's. And i'm talking about preseason not after the season started and he's actually playing great. I know there may be some instances could someone point them out.

I can't think of many times where people have been grossly underrated. I guess it mainly stems from people being overrated.

they probably have some type of formula based of last year stats and some scouting reports to kick out a formula or have 10 people who just randomly pick ratings based of what they have seen or know who knows.

I work for Michigan State and I have seen a book where the NFL scouts rate their current players on like five different categories and measure them up against every other draft eligible player at that position. They probably get some type of information like this but since they are not able to use names of the players they keep this information a secret.

I can see that happening a lot especially freshmen and red shirt freshmen or newly appointed starters

I am NOT an Ohio State fan! I just had the Ted Ginn Jr. avatar last year because I'm a Dolphin fan! I root for Michigan although the truth is I'm not a true fan of any one team.
