LOL true so true..PA works well for me and it's actually quite realistic with the animations involved..the key is to establish the run make the Defense commit and bingo hit someone over the top..most of my big plays and long bombs have come off of PA

My friends and I still call it Sack Action. Against a person, it is much better, but against the computer... well, the computer is pretty smart. That being said, I still love the rollout play action against either and I agree that it is more effective after you've established the running game -- but it still doesn't feel quite right in '08.

I was surprised to see so many people have problems with play action. I've seen the sort of failure with it that was described, but I've found that, generally, if you use it in realistic situations and have been having a successful running game, it can be very effective.

Though, sometimes, the QB just ends up on his *** for a 7 to 10 yard loss reminding me you occasionally have to fake the snap/hard count.

play action works best for me with a speedy quarterback especially on the rollouts. Self-explanatory why its best with a speedy quarterback..

Thanks, me too.

Um, cheese? I don't know. The main read (the TE in the play I have in mind) may or may not be covered, depending on the LOLB's assignment. Odds don't seem to be much more than 50/50, so that seems pretty legit to me. But maybe you're right - I haven't played in forever.

Really? Cheese for being a money play or for scrambling with the QB?

I don't mind the QB getting outside the tackles and running if the play is actually a roll-out.

I don't think it's useless as much as it is "not a money play"

I use it sparingly and after I establish a run game. I have pretty good success rate with it but it's no way a certain big gainer all the time.
