I could care less about having the right equipment...I just want the real names. Damn all the other editing crap...Oh this guy wears a wristband on his left wrist blah blah blah...Just names that's all I need.

Ok, this might sound stupid, but I don't really know much about xbox live. I don't like to pay to play online.

Anyway, I got a month of Xbox live gold for free for having a crappy xbox with the rings of death problem. I started up this month about 25 days ago, and I'm guessing it will expire before new rosters are up on EA locker. Do I need to have xbox live to just download updates from the game itself? Or do I just need an internet connection?
