Pass Defense... Impossible?

What I am seeing a lot of now online is the deep post bomb! For some reason, my safeties can not or will not cover deep. the outside wr simply runs a deep post, out runs the entire secondary, and the qb launches the ball at least 60 yards to the endzone. WTF?

You mean playing on the hardest difficulty setting is actually........HARD? You don't say!

Play on AA with the appropriate slider adjustments (yes, they DO work) and you'll be able to replicate a realisitic experience. I've played through 2 full dynasty seasons (1 with Ole Miss and 1 with Arizone State) and have gotten nice results with both.

If you insist on playing on Heisman then I would suggest significantly lowering the CPU QB and WR sliders.

CPU SLIDERS DO NOTHING.....PERIOD.....END OF STORY

i honestly can't believe some people insist the CPU sliders work at all.

raise all CPU sliders to 100 offensively and put all HUM offensive sliders at 0. put all HUM def sliders at 100 and all CPU def sliders at 0 and i guarun-effing-tee you'll get a lower scoring game. reverse it so HUM off is jacked up with HUM def at 0 and i guaruntee both teams defenses BLOW.....even worse than usual

You do realize that EA has already admitted that something is wrong with the sliders right????

EA has made every QB in this game too good to appeal to the casual gamer. The graduate of La. Tech. can use his team and keep up with an Ohio State team. Or if they really suck, they can 'Even' up the teams which I feel is utterly ridiculous.

This is a sad trend in every competitive console game nowadays. Think of Smash Bros and Halo. Developers made significant changes to the gameplay in order for the casual "noob" to be able to compete.

I don't see any reason for this in NCAA 09, however. That's what the bloody mascot games are there for.

The defense is just awful. I like playing against people who run backward twenty yards and throw it up since it's easy to stop that but if you play someone who actually runs plays you might as well put the controller down and make a sandwich or something until it's your ball.
