There is no "catch up" ability this year.

Everyone knows the major complaint last year was too many "pick sixes" and too many "Fumbles for TDs" that basically ruined many games due to a quick 14-21 point explosion in games.

Well....it's worse this year.

There is zero ability to catch up with anyone even remotely close to you in speed.

I'm using UAB in my dynasty, who isn't loaded with speed, but you'd think I had 65 speed Defensive backs the way the Offenses, even ones with no "90 speed" skill players, are running around on me.

It's so ridiculously juiced this year, that I just had a Defensive End go 65 yards on me on a fumble recovery....not a SOUL was even close to him to tackle him. My RB is a good 9 points higher in speed than he was and he was getting smoked by the DE.

Before that, I had Marshall's 89 speed tailback catch a little swing pass, blow by my 84 speed LB like he was a statue, and proceed to outrun a Safety with 89 speed who was 15 yards ahead of him and SHOULD have taken the angle to tackle him.

He doesnt....he just runs directly at the back instead of trying to cut him off, and proceeds to get directly behind him and try and catch him from behind . WTF?

For all the flack that NCAA 08 caught last year due to "too many INTs for TDs" it seems like anytime I fumble or throw a pick, it's an automatic touchdown, no matter what the speed of the defender, no matter where it is on the field.

So damn frustrating.

i think this is part of "hesiman" dificulty this year, it was the same last year but this year itīs worst.

the angle thing, at AA itīs better, still need some work, but the D, if they know they are slower, they take a angle, they give some yds, but reach the player. Thatīs the idea, but again, itīs broken, so they instead escort the ball carrier to the endzone

What was RBA at?

I'm almost convinced that this effects the person carrying the ball at all times.

RBA was at 40. But I don't think that matters because I played Ram209 last night and his 84 speed LB outran TWO of my receivers for a 60 yard pick six, both of whom were faster yet never gained an inch on him in pursuit. Plus it appears that fatigue (a feature they bragged about implementing last year) has been taken out, which is why you can see a lot of tecmo bowl type plays, with players running 140 yards around the field in all directions and never tiring.

It does. I found that at RBA 40, the players for the most part ran the right speed in comparison to the defense.

Put it down to 20 and you'll solve the problem for sure.

The only issue is the sliders are freaking broken. We need to be able to adjust the CPU sliders too.

Yea because I had it at 40 on Heisman as well (thank to AA) and saw my 93 speed HB just outrun a defender for a score. I went in the depth chart to see the defenders speed...92. So I'd agree 40 seems to be the best match.

I remember at 50 my fast HB (95) couldn't catch an 89 speed DB on an INT

I use my alma-mater in dynasty, too. And it seems I have to fight EVERY game to even have a shot at winning.. Not to say we're a powerhouse, but come on....!

UAB is slow on every year's game. Im surprised they have my boy Joe (Webb) as fast as they have him.

This new break away engine comes from people complaining about DEs catching their RB/WR in years past.

Like every year, the new features put in have been overdone. However with a little bit of tweaking I think this break away engine is better than what we had before.
