NCAA or Madden Controls (Wii)

The controls are different between the two for whatever reason, so the question is which does everybody think is best for each situation? Here are the current controls from each (green means they're the same):

The biggest difference for me is the passing: Madden is much better for that.

I like the playcalling better in Madden.

The menu navigation is better in NCAA (the ability to sort is essential)

Running with the ball (including sprinting) is better in NCAA.

Cycling the players is beter in Madden.

I don't miss Jump the Snap in Madden...

Defensive controls are better in Madden.

Kicking is better in Madden (I accidentally kick in NCAA sometimes...)

The rest I could go either way with, but consistency would be great.

What do the rest of you think? EA Designers, any chance they could ever be consistent?

Re: NCAA or Madden Controls (Wii)

Does the abandon kick function (A button in NCAA) mean the play breaks down and no kick is attempted? Maybe my Madden-born habits of holding A to kick is why I end up doing a FG-Fake-Pass on so many extra point attempts...

Re: NCAA or Madden Controls (Wii)

Yep, that's exactly what it does. Don't know why it didn't occur to me when you asked that in the other thread. Another reason why they should make the controls the same... (I always keep sprinting with the wrong button -- I think I'm going to play a full season between switching NCAA/Madden and back instead of every day or two.)
