I never use the hit stick, I try to actually, you know, tackle the guy.

And to the guy that suggested I lower human RB ability, I hope you know I was referring to the CPU RB breaking 24 tackles while I played defense.

with all due respect BC, this isn't a slider issue. It's a game engine issue. There were times when, regardless of how well positioned my guys were I couldn't make the tackle. Time when no RB not even God himself could juke his way out of a tackle yet somehow McKnight just bounces off my players like a pinball.

reconfiguring the sliders may make it so the CPU doesn't break as many tackles but even then it doesn't fix what I feel is the real problem, which as I mentioned before is the engine itself. It's hard for me to enjoy the game when I have to play it a certain way just to get it to feel right. This isn't the 8-bit era.

It is a slider issue if you have human tackling lowered pretty low. I know the sliders I use only have human tackle at 25 i believe, and ive noticed I missed some tackles when I was completely lined up and perfect placement, but I keep the tackle slider lower to help out the cpu run game, so if your tackle slider is low or lower then ofcourse the cpu is gonna break tackles, specially Mcknight.....im sure thats why the other guy asked what your sliders looked like, not if you said you were playing with default sliders then I can see the arguement saying it isnt a slider issue

You knew it was coming. There's always one "you must suck" post. It's pre-requisite of any thread here on OS highlighting a game's deficiencies.

I've already said it twice but this is not a slider issue.

You're in denial. I've never had anything close to that and I play on Heisman against the CPU. Fix your sliders and take people's advice.

Sliders aren't nearly as effective as they should be on this year's version, but they do fix a lot of problems.

Make sure the CPU RB Ability slider is at least 15-20 points lower than the User Tackling slider. Once this change is made, I doubt you'll see 24 broken tackles in a game unless you're playing with an FCS team against USC.
