Why?

Michael Crabtree, Carnell Williams, A.J. Greene, Julio Jones, etc.

There are high profile Freshman who come in and are immediately playing at an All Conference/All American level....not often...but you do get 2-4 "Fab Freshmen" per year that are difference makers.

I think the EA guys should recreate this in the game as well.

Again I stress....SOME guys...2-4 per year MAX.
Russ mentioned on a different thread that this will be the case. He even went so far as to say not seeing a handful of 80+ guys, so you'll be forced to use plenty of JR and SR level talent. Personally I love it... which means turning around a program will take more than 1-2 seasons in the past. They're running sims to see how guys progress and taking notes on the whole process. Wish I had a link but it was on one of these threads.

Whatever...you get the idea.

I could name about 20 other guys over the last 20 years.

The point is there ARE instant impact freshman who immediately come in and become studs right out of the gates.

Well, when you have Denard Robinson and he has run the second fastest time in the entire nation for HS kids, you have to give him speed that reflects that. He will be an awful passer though.

Russell Shepard for LSU should probably have 92-93 speed...

I would personally give Denard Robinson 96 or 97 speed...

If you do they become an instant cheese player b/c the mechanics are not built into gameplay to account for a guy (defensively) like that. I'm pretty sure I heard them talking about toning down QB speed overall this year.

Re: Question about incoming freshmen player ratings?

Speed is speed if they ever fix all the other ratings we wouldnt have this problem! Why shouldnt Robinson be a 96 or better? Cheeser just more RBs and WRs to QB anyways. This will save them the effort!lol
