Meh, it's such a grey area, it'd be a hard case to win; it would really boil down to how the court interprets likeness. He mentions Kent State RB Eugene Jarvis, a 5'5" 170lbs black kid from PA; I'm willing to bet that height, weight and location matches at least 10 people on this message board alone. He wears #6? NCAA rules state multiple players can wear the same number so it's not exclusive to him, could be another 5'5" 170 pound black kid from PA.

And I've never seen Jarvis' or Keller's face in any NCAA videogame, matter fact they look like almost every other player since there's roughly 15 faces per skin tone in the game. Besides EA has more than enough money to retain legal counsel while this case stays in civil court limbo, does Keller?

Why stop there, Sam? What about Nike, Reebok and all the other companies that make replica cfb jerseys with real players numbers but no names? Surely that's pretty much the same thing, right?

To echo the general tone of this thread --- what a monumental tool.

lol @ this. So he'll play in college for free and the university can have $ 3million dollar gates for every home game, $1 million in merch. sales etc. But he has a problem with a video game, in which he is not directly referenced?

These games are going on 20 years old, and this guy thinks he's the first to come up with the "brilliant" idea of a lawsuit.

I say EA just change the weight by a lb. or two, and keep it moving.

Not only that, but he is suing EA AND the NCAA? Even if he got past EA,nobody ever beats the NCAA.

Someone should tell him he got an education at 2 pretty good schools. Most of his peers who went to ASU or Nebraska could have spent anywhere from $20,000-$80,000+ to get the same level.

Where do you think that money came from Sam? Part of it comes from licensing deals with companies such as Nike, EA and others. So perhaps you should pay some of that money back before going ahead with this.
