Rocket Catching

There is nothing wrong with the rocket catch. You just need to find a defense that can counter it. I play alot bump and run agaist people I play online. Because they do throws. I usually knock it down are INt it.

I asked this in a thread that got locked so I'll ask again regarding this so called rocket catching. No bs serious question, would people be happier if user catching was removed completely?

YES!!! Dont turn them down just remove them, you never see these catches anyways.

If you could only strafe on jump ball situations, it'd be fine, but I don't think EA can make a patch like that, so I say just leave it in. If you take being able to strafe out on offense, you have to do the same for defense or else it just gives the defense a huge advantage.

EDIT: I'm guessing you've never seen a fade route to the corner of the endzone have ya, potatoes? You see players turn around and face the quarterback on throws plenty of times.. You must not watch football. Or at least something besides Cougar football...

I don't mean just these type of catches I mean any and all user catching.

Once again, if you remove user catching, remove the user's ability to play as any of the defensive back positions. It just gives the defense an unfair advantage.

You know, if they just fix the things that are obvious it would go a long ways to prevent a lot of the cheesey rocket catches. Things like improving pass rush, improving QB contain, making a double team that actually worked (right now the extra defender is just a useless shadow), making safety help more effective, increase the number of bad passes, etc.
