Quick questions concearning Player Subs and Rosters...

Any word on if they brought back Substitutions?? It would be nice to pick who plays on Special Teams (I want Underclassmen and Back Ups on my Return Teams, not Starters) and I do like to have control over my Individual Playbook Subs for Def and Off.....It was frustrating last year to not even have this feature....

Also, what is the real issue with the rosters this year??? This area concearns me the most.....

Formation Subs are not in the game this year.

They are supposed to have an updated roster in the EA Locker for launch day.

EA is ********, why would you NOT have Formation Subs????!!!!!

I love how they remove USEFUL things one year and replace them with stupid Gimmicks that serve no purpose the next....

I thought FOR SURE this would not be an issue with regards to Formation Subs this year, but again EA does not have seemingly any common sense....

They even had Subs in the PS2 version last year!!!!

Re: Quick questions concearning Player Subs and Rosters...

So I got my answer to the Roster question from Gamerosters.com...I have used them the last 3 years to get full rosters on PS2....

Here is what they said in response to the Rosters being screwed up:

Thank you for contacting us.

The roster issue you have heard about is as follows: EA has loaded the incorrect, incomplete rosters on the game itself. They will be releasing a file on launch day with the updated, supposedly correct rosters. Now, if the game does release with the incorrect rosters, then we will have to download the file and use that as our roster that we edit and name.

The problem with your case specifically is that we don’t know how this roster issue will affect the PS2. We and many others have tried contacting EA on how it will affect the PS2 game but they have given no response. Since the PS2 is a different game from the PS3 and XBOX 360 versions, common opinion is that the PS2 will launch with the CORRECT rosters already on. With EA being so tight-lipped on the PS2 version, it looks like we may have to wait until we get our hands on the game itself to determine which rosters that version will have.

Either way you can be sure the issue will not get past us, and we will be doing everything we can to produce another quality, accurate file as soon as possible. If you are getting your roster file through us you don’t need to worry about the current roster issue, because we will make sure that we get the proper file. We do not anticipate it affecting our product at all, so rest easy.

If you have any other questions or concerns please let us know.

Because EA only wants to please the non-hardcore buyers that will just trade it in when Madden comes out. Look on the bright side we have teambuilder lmao...

Re: Quick questions concearning Player Subs and Rosters...

I really just think they (EA and its stockholders) care only about the bottom line.....They have a Monopoly on College Football and have made MILLIONS of dollars releasing Half-Finished games the last several years....

It really saddens me that a company that I SWORE by in the 90's has fallen off a cliff in a buring car....

Alas, I suppose being in the "Patch Era" this should be expected...
