Can somebody tell me how to make the players on the cover look "grungy" or "comical"? I see a lot of covers where the players are like that, but I can't figure out how to do it. For Example...

Another example is Darren McFadden on NCAA 09.

BTW, I'm using Photoshop, so I'm just wondering if there is a filter or anything to do this.

Here's the first one I've ever made, if I could figure out how to make the player look the way I want it to, it would look awesome.

1. Use a bigger picture that you don't have to stretch to fit.
2. I use redynamix which is a photoshop plugin - http://www.mediachance.com/plugins/redynamix.html
There is some super secret plugin out there that does it perfect, but the selfishnish of some people on this site won't let it be known which one it is.

You can also in photoshop to go Filter >Sharpen > Unsharp mask
It gives a similar effect

I've downloaded brushes, styles, etc., but never a plugin. Where at in my program files do I save it, and how would I access it in Photoshop?

Just run the install and it shows up under Filter > DCE tools

It should automatically select where to install it which is a plugins folder in the photoshop folder

It works, but when I process it, I get like a watermark. I think it's because I don't have the full version. I don't really feel like buying it either.

Any other suggestions?
