Re: New camera looks better in retail version

This is good news. I'm one of the many that didn't like the camera angle in the demo (and a lot of other glitches in the demo along with downgraded graphics).

If the camera is better, the graphics better than the demo and the sliders get patched, this game could be nice. I'm still guarded about the game though. I'm waiting for the slider patch and will rent then. The impressions have been very positive so far so that gives me hope. But nothing compares to your own thoughts.

Yeah from the impressions the demo shows very little of what the retail version is like.
I dont have a problem with the new camera at all.

You are sticking with NCAA 09.

Right now yes. I won't rent this game until the sliders are patched. I'm actually looking forward to reading your thoughts on the game and the sliders.

I'm still concerned about whether the cpu will mount a consistent running game and the sliders last year wouldn't let you create one. The lack of a cpu running game and no deep passing were two of my pet peeves last year. I know the cpu throws deep this year but I still don't know about the cpu running game. Perfect example is Shonn Green. The guy went over 100 yards last year against EVERYONE in real life. Yet I can play against him on Heisman, put hum. def. awareness at 0, cpu run blocking at 100 and human break block at 0 and I would still hold him to under 100 yards 95% of the time. That stuff shouldn't happen.

The last thing I expected to get annoyed with by the demo was the new camera. My frustration this year started with the lack of the new QB rating system and my interest has yo-yo'd back and forth for months until the demo ticked me off. The glitches, the new camera and the broken sliders left me bitter. Maybe the retail version will bring me back.

you should lower tackling instead.
try 15 and you will see him running all over you.
Of course he will break 15 tackles per game, but if i have to choose, i choose yds and ypc than BT stat.

I know. I put the cpu RBA at 70 but refuse to go higher than that since it turns all of them into Barry Sanders rather than a realistic representation of themselves. Lowering the tackle slider will help them like you said - by breaking a ridiculous number of tackles. My biggest problem was that the CPU OL never generated a push while run blocking no matter what the sliders. And they didn't hold their blocks long enough which really hurts the run game consistency. If the cpu didn't break a long run on you, they never rushed for over 100 yards.

Interesting, if it's true. There should still be at least five preset camera angles, though.

Anyway, if the camera really is better and the controls are more responsive than they are in the demo, I might put NCAA 06 down and pick up NCAA 10 ...

Anyone know if the controls are better in the finished game? They were sluggish in the demo.

the controls, on the 360, are not sluggish at ALL in the final game
