Help me fix my controller...please

So, I hit the PS button to turn it on and all 4 of the little lights in the middle were blinking and it wouldn't work.

I grabbed my charger, plugged it into the laptop as usual, but it still wouldnt work.

When i plug it into the PS3 it works and shows that it is charging.

But if I take it off the USB Charger, it won't work at all.

ANybody have a solution to this????

just stating the obvious, but sometimes the obvious is overlooked. when the controller has a charge and is unplugged... hold down the ps3 button again.

tell us if this works

Nah, i hold it down and it does nothing if the charger is not plugged in. Same goes for if it's plugged into my laptop.
