What is the functon of this??

The defensive assist button. Hit A on the 360 what does this do? I've tried it and never seen anything good from it.

If you hold it down it makes your player act just like it would if you don't touch anything the whole play. It lets the CPU control the player like it does the other 10 guys on the field.

Crap. Well, I was hoping it was a button that helped with user tackles while in RTG (playing as a LB). I thought it was an "assist tackle" button seeing as everytime I dive my LB goes flying wildly at random angles. I started using the Defensive Assist thinking it was making me better, now I know it was just doing all the work for me as I got close to the ball carrier.

Think of it as an "everyone's a winner" badge. This "feature" is to be used for casual gamers who know nothing about football and move the player out of position and need to get him back immediately in order to make a play.
