Why did EA go back to the NCAA 07 graphics?

Anyone else actually still have 07? I returned that like 2 years ago lol.

Then I have to agree with this. I'm not feeling the darkened/glossyish tone of the players and the field. I like the graphical improvements, but EA should stick to a more natural color pallette for next year. I noticed it on the demo and was wondering what happened to the graphics.

I also thought the graphics looked worse, but the more I play the game, I think a lot of it (for me anyway) has to do with the new camera. Maybe I'm getting old, but the camera seems too jerky or something. It really messes with my eyes.

That said, there are some off-looking things with the graphics:

1) The crowd looks like cardboard cut-outs, especially on close-ups. On the panoramic blimp views, the crowd looks fine though.

2) It's probably just me, but the field looks like it has too much texture to it. I'm still undecided on this, though.

3) Certain uniforms, like Pitt's blue jerseys, look too shiny in certain lighting. Almost like they are covered in Saran wrap.

4) All the player's arms are ripped.


Things aren't all bad though. If I'm going to list the bad, I should list the good:

1) Other than those certain Saran-wrapped uniforms, the rest look great. I also love the Mix/Match feature.

2) The stadiums look great, especially the panoramic views. It would be nice to have the band section back in the crowd though...seeing as how they are in the pre-game. It would be really cool if the band section was empty when they are on the field.

3) The falling snow flakes look good.

4) I didn't think the waving flags would add much, and while I've only noticed them in certain stadiums, they are cool when I do see them. I just hope having the waving flags isn't taking too much processing power away from other, more noticeable, graphical enhancements.

Okay, after a little research, it seems to me, the fields (at least grass) have way too much texture.

Since I have no idea how to transfer screen shots, use in-game instant replay to get a similar shot of the photos below and compare the grass.

Game looks slightly better to me, what they completely destroyed though was the quality of uploaded videos to EA Sportsworld. Not even worth wasting time on at that quality.

I could understand if the game had lesser graphics and top notch animations like MLB The Show or NBA 2K9. But the animations are average at best even if they did add few more this year. It's like we get one thing and they remove another every year.

You are joking right? just kidding about the graphics? Are you kidding me! EA did an outstanding job on graphics! they are awesome! I am not being mean or anything, but I have to ask you,
What size of TV are you playing on? Also, Is it new? I ask this because you might have to set your settings and what not. Again, I am not trying to be mean, I am trying to help you out. You are missing something pretty special because the graphics on this new game are nice!
