I'm playing Dynasty as Minnesota.
Opponent: Ohio State (at Ohio State)
Difficulty: Varsity
Quarters: 6 min.
Last year, I would've had a hard fought battle against them on All-American, and likely have lost. I'm playing on Varsity to get a feel for this year's game at first.
I understand that Ohio State is significantly better than Minnesota, but I was down 31-0 until there were 30 seconds left in the third quarter.
I lost 34-22, and only because of some lucky deep passes did I get so close. On All-American, I would've understood this possibly, but on Varsity? I lost two fumbles, and was picked three times, yikes!
I've also lost two close games previously (at home vs. Wisconsin 41-38), and (at Penn State 42-35). Tackling just seems to be atrocious, and in a couple of games, I've given up multiple Kickoff returns for TDs (total 6 in 8 games), I haven't gotten past my own 40 on returns.
In previous games, on Varsity, I'd be winning 112-0, which is why I played on All-American. This year, I'm 5-3 on Varsity difficulty.
Does anybody else think that there was a significant difficulty boost to the AI this year? Or maybe a few contributing factors that represented significant changes from the previous games that would help this make sense for me?

Sounds to me like you're playing Minnesota true to form.
J/k I'm a Bucks fan so I felt I needed to take a dig.
