Well last year it seemed too easy and this year its too hard...thats about right. Same with kick returns for me...i cant return a kick to save my life, but i could sneeze and return one last year.

Like somebody said in another thread: you have to use the double return safe or something like that.

I had a 74-yd punt return TD. My longest run otherwise is like 25 yards.

And yes KO returns are too easy.

I do agree it is kinda difficult to take back punts but i did manage to take one to the house with FSU against BYU and found it easiest to run up the sideline for best chance of more than 8 yds. But i usually average only 6-8yds per return

lol but the CPU does go for it on 4th down at weird times. one time it was the CPU's first drive of the game it was on its own 40, and it went for it. I was confused/annoyed/shocked at the call. I think it had like 2 yards to go and got it.

punt returns are not about speed this year. It seems agility and break tackle have worked out as the top two relaitive stats for me. Possibly acceleration in there also.

Re: So I am in year 9 in my dynasty: CPU and I have 0 TD's on punt returns

I have 2 punt returns for TD's thru 9 games this season. Trent Guy took one back vs FCS Midwest for 60-some odd yards and then he took one back against Southern Miss for 70yds I believe.

I only have one kickoff return for a TD and that was against FCS Midwest.

I haven't given up a kickoff return for a TD, but have given up 1 punt return for a TD against Utah. In that same game, my punter saved what would've been a second one by knocking the returner out inside the 10 yard line.

So, in my short experience thus far, both have felt very balanced.

I've had no problem taking back punts. If you allow your blocks to set up, you should have plenty of running room. Having a good BTK rating certainly helps though. If anything, the CPU tends to kick the ball out of bounds just to keep it out of my returner's hands, not because they are trying to pin me inside the 20. This is the first year I've ever been able to return a kickoff though. I've taken two back already in a fairly limited number of games.
