Best player in NCAA 2004

I'd say the best player should be maurice clarett and VT's Kevin Jones their ratings should be in the high 90's

Re: Best player in NCAA 2004

no way...Jones is good, but he has yet to prove he can carry the load for a full season by himself. Clarett is really good to, but high 90's? I think that is a bit high for a sophmore...I'd say low 90's high 80's. If he starts our high 90's he'll surely be 99 the next season.

I dont think there is a clearcut best player coming into the season, but some of the guys you have to consider are:
Eli Manning
K. Jones
Clarrett
Roy Williams
Rashuan Woods
Reggie Williams
Kellen Winslow jr
David Pollack
Tommie Harris
Chirs Gamble

EA is using Clarett in their promotional materials, (Video clips and SI Cover demonstration), and when that happens they usually make that player's ratings in the higher end of the spectrum.

Re: Best player in NCAA 2004

yea kj has the tendency to cough up the ball at times, but hey, there have been great running backs that just happened to be fumblers-franco harris, ricky williams. anyway, the legend should be the best player on the game, no doubt. the top 5 might look a bit like so: roy williams, chris gamble, sean taylor, tommie harris, dontarrious thomas

We didn't look at ratings at E3, but I can tell you that Clarrett broke A LOT of tackles.

Its going to be a great year for the game because there are no 1 or 2 clear cut top dogs. There are a lot of extremely talented guys at each position.

Re: Best player in NCAA 2004

The most dynamic players on offense should be Roy Williams ( #1 NFL draft pick), Marice Clarett( big surprise), Shawn Andrews( hopefully there is a distinction between a great offensive lineman and a horrible one) and Kellen Winslow Jr.( Jeremy Shockey legacy erasor). On defense- Rod Davis ( most underrated yet, best all- arond defensive player in the world), David Pollack( the disrupter) and Vince Wilfork( "Im here since Tommie Harris did next to nothing last season!" ).
