Re-Naming Rosters in NCAA 2005?

Is it possible to re-name rosters in NCAA 2005? If so how? I feel like it's hidden in the game somewhere ahha it has to be (This is the PS2 version btw)

Dude, upgrade to next gen. PS3 may be a steep investment but I assure you, it gets rid of your entire college football fix. Not to mention there's rosters you can simply DOWNLOAD with EVERY name in it by just typing a PSN in.

Features > I-A Rosters > View/edit rosters. Highlight the player you want to edit, press X and choose to edit player info.

While NCAA 05 wasn't as good as 04 or 06, it still is a million times better than any Next Gen NCAA. And this is from a guy who thinks this game is the best installment of next gen.

I haven't played NCAA 10 for about a month because I've been playing NCAA 05. The player locomotion, the presentation, and the AI are all better than the next gen games. The reason I'm playing 05 is because I gave 06 and 07 away years ago because I naturally assumed, "They're both great games but since I'm buying a PS3 I won't want to play them anymore ... not after I play the next gen NCAA Football games coming out." Now I regret that decision.

NCAA 10 did give me some hope for the future though. After 09, I feared the series might be a lost cause; however, 10 laid a foundation that I could see developed into something promising. If the locomotion is fixed and the blocking AI is improved, they're back on the right track. Wow, I'm way off topic now.
