When EA's licensing contract with the NCAA football expires next year.....

Do you think they will renew it? Or will they stop putting out NCAA Football games just like EA is doing with their NCAA Basketball series because their contract is expiring? Obviously only EA knows what they are going to do, I am curious as to what you think they will do.

EA will pay any amount of money to keep it. They'll probably shell out about a billion this time..

I think they'll renew it, but i don't think it will be exclusive unless the NCAA like the NFL just prefers it that way. I am not sure it needs to be even.

I think the NCAA just followed the NFL, plus at that time, no other NCAA football game was being made anyway I believe. both 2k and Sony had already stopped making their NCAAFB games.

I personally think that these exclusive licenses will be a thing of the past(with the NFL being the lone exception), EA has come out and said that the NCAA football license has not paid off for them. I too think that EA will renew their contract but will not go the exclusive route.

I am curious how the NCAA feels about EA's game though

I'm not sure whether they'll bother to renew the exclusive license, but there's no doubt the game will continue to come out on a yearly basis.
