I wish they would include sliders this year that allows the USER to customize the game play for passing
They should add a SHORT, MEDIUM and LONG accuarcy slider and then let the players arm strength stricly be tied into his in game rating
As for the QB's based on the years I've spent changing ratings and testing them in NCAA and Madden
This is an example of a QB who can cause some serious damage on the field vs the human player for the CPU
QB "A"
82 Throwing power
88 Accuarcy
90 Awareness
Here is an example of the EA QB's that look god awful on the field year after year
QB "B"
94 Throwing Power
88 Accuarcy
68 Awareness
There is a key rating for QB "A" that will allow him to perform better on the field than QB "B"
But because of QB B's arm strength he'll be rated higher overall in the game. Lots of guys assume just because QB B has a powerful arm and solid accuarcy he would be the better QB.
But 8 out of 10 x's you play the CPU the QB "A" is gonna out play QB "B" on the field.
QB "B" is what EA has been giving us for the past 3-4 years and every year out of the box he turns the ball over like 4-5 picks a game. He's never off target with a throw but he still throws a ton of picks
QB "A" will actually produce a more realistic game performance because he'll mis fire on some passes and you'll see a wide variety of incompletions with him. He will protect the ball and not turn it over as much as QB "B"
This is all tied into "AWARENESS"......you can ask just about anyone who has used MY ALUMNI rosters and played against guys like Ty Detmer, Joe Montana or Doug Flutie. Those guys are never created with a big arm but they still out perform any DEFAULT QB's the rosters EA releases every year.
