They probably did like Madden last year and have the 5 speed settings (Very Slow, Slow, Normal, Fast, Very Fast). When Madden came out, it was on normal, and they bumped default down to slow after feedback. They said the NCAA's speed was "Fast" on the Madden scale. So I'd imagine that this year's speed is "Normal" on the Madden scale (which was my favorite speed), while Madden is "Slow". You can adjust these to your liking however.
